Community Chorus

The non-audition Community Chorus was founded in 1991 by a group of Fountain Hills residents. It is a four-part harmony ensemble and is open to all who love to sing and desire to grow musically. The Chorus performs two Winter Holiday concerts and two Spring concerts each year. We are funded entirely from membership dues, concert ticket sales, grants, and donations.

Summer Fun

We are again very excited to announce the offering of summer music theory sessions for all current and potential FHCC members!  There will be a total of six sessions throughout the summer.  You can sign up for a minimum of three sessions or all six.  These sessions will be held  at the Fountain Hills Community Center from 4:00 – 5:30 PM on the following Mondays:

.  May 6 & 20

.  June 3 & 17

.  July 8 & 22

Session content will include:

.  Singing (of course!)

.  Sight-Singing

.  Skill building

.  Basic music theory & notation instruction

.  Opportunity to ask theory & notation questions

.  Fellowship & Fun!!!

In order to cover the cost of room rental and leadership, participation fees for three sessions will total $15.00 or $25.00 for all six. In order to plan resources, please email no later than April 22nd with “ALL” if you are planning to attend all six or the target dates of the three if electing that option.  Your email will confirm your registration.  You will be sent a registration form which you should bring to the first session you are attending along with the the 3 or 6 session payment amount made payable to FHCCA (please come a little early).

There will not be a concert after these sessions…it is meant to be a learning experience as well as just a great way to keep developing our musical skills and deepening our choral relationships!  These sessions are also not limited to present chorus members but anyone you might know who would love to hone their singing skills and just have fun!!  Feel free to share!!!
